Do western leftists like Trotsky just to spite MLs or something? I’ve seen people from social democrat to anarchist praise Trotsky, even though his ideology differs like 1% from Stalin’s in the grand scheme
man it's just fuckin embarrassing to see people allergic to winning. I've straight up seen leftists put down Lenin while upholding Luxembourg in the same damn sentence. I really hope this isn't the sign of a larger psychological problem within the US left.
most of what I've learned of Trotsky was from my school history class, which when mentioning that he was closer to Lenin than Stalin, and that Lenin wrote a letter warning of Stalin's influence; that framing placed Trotsky in a better light. But what's weird was that my school was a private British international school, which had ideological reasons to smear the communists, but didn't do the Red Scare bit. But since I've grown-up, therefore becoming an anarchist 😎 I agree that Trotsky was very ideologically similar to Stalin; to his detriment.

There's a surprisingly large influx of trots in Brazil's "left" parties and they haven't done much of a dent, if at all.
I like his glasses, other than that mehhhh.
I do, however, think there's alot of mileage for jokes about permanent WAAAAAAAGH!
Who's Trotsky? Do you mean Human Icepick holder?
Getting ice-picked by Will's dad in Mexico City has a certain romantic appeal.
Also the newspapers are charmingly weird.
