What is the consensus right now? I red roughly 50% of the population has to be vaccinated to have the virus under control. Does this mean that hospitals will be able to serve the rest? Does it mean nobody will get infected then? If, let's say 80% is vaccinated, would the 20% be safe or would they just die out over time? Should I want every chud to be vaccinated?
It depends on how contagious the disease is. I think the CDC estimate for COVID is at least 70% for herd immunity?
It doesn't mean it'll go away completely because there will probably be strains that the vaccine won't cover, but there won't be another epidemic because enough people are protected that it'll die out over time.
