They're supposed to "help you see better while it's dark out" but completely blinds the fuck out of you when you're on the receiving end.
They literally make it more dangerous to drive because of the brief moments they destroy your night vision and shit.
Fuck white LED headlights.
As someone who studies automobiles and loves cars, White LED headlights are not only blinding, they're inefficient. for the tradeoff of seeing a few more meters, you blind the other driver, and cause more accidents in the end.
Car mechanic and enthusiest here too. So there are ways to rock a set of LED's in a regular bulb housing, however you NEED to adjust you headlights to point lower since they have a broader are of light. This is where most fail after breaking shit shoving these in a housing barely made for their large size. Anyhow, the whiter/blue cool colors will make your headlights pick up all the bugs and dust so your vision has a ton of extra shit in it you dont need. So warmer lights are better for this. I had yellow low beams in my Forester for a while, i liked em and never got pulled over (looked up the law in california, its legal). My WRX has the regular bulbs in them, i like them the best.
I have regular bulbs in my S2K as well. They're much better. nice username btw
