Weird how you can take a question with a consistent and unambiguous answer, add "during a revolution" to it, and all of a sudden you can ask it as a viable question and not be ashamed of it
The revolution isn't about ethnicity or group characteristics. It is economic. So targeting people based on non-economic or class factors (as genocide is intended to) wouldn't be acceptable at all. Genocide is an attempt to eliminate a culture by killing a people, to erase from the world those viewed as "incompatible" with the genocidal group's own ideas.
