It's no wonder disability rights legislation has failed, writes Ellen Clifford, when the very category of disability is essential to upholding capitalism. Disabled people will never be gifted full equality under a system that, in order to justify itself, needs them to have a worse experience of life than those better suited for exploitation.
My experience with the ADA has been pretty poor. Been flat out told repeatedly that due to my disability, I can't hold the job I apply for and tell them which accommodations can fit the job requirements.
