So there's this thing called penile plethysmograph tests. Basically they hook a bunch of electrodes to a penis and make the man watch a series of sexually explicit images of children, animals, men, and women. If they get an erection looking at the kids or dogs they get sent to horny jail.

      Wouldn't this also harm CSA victims? Like telling them "we're testing to see if you are a pedophile too" sounds like a great way to trigger some bad shit.

    The point I what to make is that by addressing material interests the highest recidivism crimes would be addressed as those trend not to be solved by mental heal, i.e property crime. However violent and sex crimes can be addressed by mental health and trend to have lower recidivism rates as people are generally good it's the horrific society around them that forces them to illegal means to survive, if a law is unjust a person is just in disobeying it.

    Wouldn't the money that would be wasted in this be more useful if it funded orgs that help CSA survivours? Or educated the public, children included, on sexual abuse? The problem is that children are victimized and their abusers aren't even p*dophiles all the time.

    And how does this idea deal with those who prey on teens. I doubt most have any real difference in their sexual attraction from not-p*dos yet they still take advantage of children.

    We can't let the normal opinion of "all p*dos die challenge" get in the way of children's safety.
