Empowering chats w/non-experts and the web3 & permaculture lectures are *chef's kiss*

It's hard to imagine something less useful for permaculture. It's like third stage simulacra shit where all the words are increasingly divorced from their meaning and just point to the same hermetic truth.

What's the bet it was just a steaming pile of techbro and permaculture buzzwords strung together into sentences?

Imagine driving for eight hours in a small car, all the way out to the middle of the Nevada desert in sweltering heat. Then covering yourself in body paint and taking a double hit of Ketamine alongside your big titty goth girlfriend. You're walking out into America's premier orgy, but you stumble into "Intro To NFTs" marketing event.

Fuck me, that would be the worst buzz-kill of my life.

Imagine leaving your San Francisco crypto job to go to the same desert, dress in a cheap suit, and give an Intro to NFTs seminar to a crowd of people taking ketamine. And you can't have any ketamine yourself. It seems like the most miserable camp at the most miserable festival I could go to.

And you can't have any ketamine yourself.

I refuse to believe Silicon Valley crypto shills aren't on ketamine at least as regularly as the Madison Avenue guys were on booze and coke.

It seems like the most miserable camp at the most miserable festival I could go to.

Idk, man. That many people showing up, and plenty of them are regulars. Clearly there's some kind of appeal. I've heard the art scene is still pretty cool. If you're just coming to see a giant outdoor art museum and you don't mind the smell of patchouli, I can see a certain appeal.

Not meaningfully worse than RenFaire, anyway.

The only thing worse than explaining crypto in the desert without ketamine is explaining crypto in the desert on ketamine.

Okay... honestly, what's to stop me from making the 'fyre fest' of crypto? Like like make a fake festival and act like it's huge, and sell booths to these people. Then just work out the venue after I have their money?

Well, your fyre fest won’t have the name recognition that burning man does, so that alone probably won’t be enough to strike gold. You’ll need another hook.

Like, you’ll want to announce the world’s first AI-powered blockchain festival that will kickoff an entirely new industry of scam festivals. That should bring in the money.

Getting attention over the thousands of grifters and hacks running the exact same scam in every media market that will have them.

How to avoid death and taxes: Longevity Cities

That shit's been peddled since the early 90s by what were called "extropians" at the time.

It's an old grift for aging rich assholes.
