    not to be ignorant, but how the fuck would the price of your healthcare treatments relate to how much of a raise you get?

      It's a job at another place. They pay better but the insurance costs a lot more and doesn't cover as much. My total pay would be higher, but after insurance premiums id actually have less money.

        So in america, the price you pay to see a doctor isn't just variable and paid to private companies, its determined based on who you work for? Aside from being just morally fucked up, that seems incredibly disorganised. I'm sorry you've got to deal with that.
