      I feel like it's not just chuds. Society at large seems insanely hostile towards anything marketed towards young women.

        Never forget the Justin Bieber hate. Literally got booed at a basketball game when his song came on and he was only like 15

          I mean, I agree with the general thrust of the theory that Bieber hatred was motivated towards hostility to things teen girls like, but "Baby" was genuinely a really irritating song to me and I like most pop music. Quiet liked the songs on "Believe" though.

        I think it's because the "standard" form of marketing is targeting teenage and young men. Young women have increasingly become consumers, so marketing reflects that. CHUDs (and probably a good degree of normal people) get triggered when they don't have every facet of media dedicated to them.
