There should be a new national monument built to commemorate the dead from the current pandemic. I'd like to propose what I call "The Big Fucking Pile".

I'm sick of Americans not understanding abstract, big numbers. As of today there will be ~275k total deaths with another 9/11's worth every day. That number means nothing because it's too abstract. That is an enormous amount of people but it's hard to contextualize it. Hence my proposal:

For every death related to COVID-19 there should be a full-sized analog body thrown into a big fucking pile. I want to see a big fucking pile of fake corpses 275,000 bodies high and growing daily as the plague is long from over. There will need to be either a once daily big drop of bodies or a constant stream of smaller truckloads of bodies. All livestreamed and shown on TV of course. An alternative idea would be thousands of smaller, but still large fucking piles distributed around the country so people can contextualize what it's done to their state/county/neighborhood/etc.
