lol I don't know if you can count me as much reach, this place is the logical continuation of SRS and I've been super involved with SRS since the beginningish. were you ever on the fempire offsite?
back in like... 2015ish? we (it was mostly srsly) setup an offsite instance of reddit itself, it was always pretty small and it wound up being mostly the just_post folks (devtesla etc) who wound up staying on there. they tore down the reddit instance because nobody felt super comfortable maintaining it and eventually I found out they rebranded as jstpst and tbh they're kinda super cliquey and the whole thing is kinda dead now but I guess they still chat in irc or somewhere, idk. But yeah, SRS had one of the first reddit offsites back before it was cool... and honestly the fact that the admins never shut down SRS is probably why it never really took off like this site
Man I remember being a mod on me_irl when it had like 10000 members and a couple of years later when it started hitting the frontpage daily I was like "yeah I was on there before it was famous 😎"
Were you there when DonQuixoteReference got mad and removed everyone and it was a whole thing? I never got more info about what devtesla did that made her mad but hopefully eventually I'll see her again and get the scoop... it's been like 3 years since I saw her but we keep in touch a bit, she and I actually came out around the same time too, we were baby transes together.
Oh shit I don't think I ever actually had any contact with her, that's cool tho. Yeah I remember there being mod drama and I think at one point I ended up being the top mod before we agreed to resign in a certain order to put dev back on top or something. Wish I'd taken a screenshot while I held that title lol
Yeah, that actually happened a couple times because devtesla got his first reddit account banned lol. I kinda forgot about that till I looked back at wayback machines of just_post recently; srsly was the top mod after that the first time and I forget whether devtesla2 even bothered with taking the top spot back after that time. I know that he took it back after the DQR drama so I think that's the one you're remembering.
