Its such an infuriating thread: the person that posted this is a former Black Panther turned anti-socialist Khiver, there are a ton of leftist pointing out Fred Hampton was literally assassinated by police and the FBI for resisting their occupation, followed by a bunch of white people (including British white people) furious anyone has the temerity to question this extremely stupid thing this person posted but all they can do is deflect by saying she's a black women and former Black Panther so shut-up. And it turns out she never acutally met Fred Hampton despite all her defenders implying she worked with him.

But think about the phrase civil rights. They were already liberals. Radical yes and good but they still viewed the right to vote as a way to be liberated rather than just a simple concession.
