Think back to your last daydream at work: you were imagining yourself in your standard-issue pocketed jumpsuit, greeting your comrades as you stroll down the seemingly endless corridor of your sector's FALGSC biohabitat. You feel a grumble in your stomach and decide to head to the nearest canteen. You happily take a tray of the day's special and sit down to dig in. It's only at this point that the realization hits you: no one in your utopic vision of the future eats the bodies of other beings.

Memes about beans are the best way to disseminate radical vegan propaganda. Change my mind.
Why would replicated meat not be considered vegan? If it's made without animal products, then it's vegan, no?
when the news came out about cultured meat hitting the market a few days ago, i unironically thought 'we're one step closer to replicating ethical food'
In DS9 Captain Sisko spoke fondly about how his father would cook with real meat because it was "more nutritional" or something like that.
That was clearly not what was intended because in season one of TNG, Tasha Yar lost her mind about an alien race bringing livestock onboard the enterprise. That was the most based episode next to Quark's brother quoting Marx on DS9.
What up gang? We have megathreads now!
Can we get a vegan roll-call? I'm vegan btw
Hmmm, sounds like you definitely should consider going vegan, Vegan. is this praxis?
vegan btw
There are 3 kinds of vegans on reddit: Nice, helpful, somewhat naive people who want to make a difference and really want to congratulate you on your tofu dish
Complete assholes who validate every anti vegan stereotype. (This is me, I am here)
People whose post histories consist entirely of talking about their eating disorder and cocaine habit outside of vegan subreddits.
I am inagurating this megathread with its first bad post.
I worried that I was bringing down a thread meant for serious stuff. Undeleted now.
love the un-delete feature, and yeah no worries, this is still pure shitposting 😎
Hello fellow vegans what kind of beans did you eat recently?
I made a giant tub of hummus this weekend, and i'm gonna make a lentil-chickpea patty thing later for lunch. Had a black bean burger this weekend. Oh, and soy milk ice cream and soy curls turned into jerky. Gonna try to convince my wife (she's vegan, btw) to make us a kidney bean/pumpkin chili later.
protien tho
oh hell yes, sounds excellent!
just finished up some fried rice with edemame and looking forward to cracking into the red lentil stew I've got waiting for me in the fridge for lunch tomorrow
:bean:
I forgot to make dinner yesterday so I just ate hummus, with a spoon. I regret nothing, and I won't apologise.
Well you didn't see how much hummus. Really I shouldn't be allowed to live next to a place that sells fresh hummus by the pound.
