Yeah that's tough man. But it's probably the right decision given how covid is just blowing up all over the USA. All I can say is that I hope it works out somehow

I mean the thanksgiving bump has only started and the USA is already at over 3100 deaths a day. And that's not including all the execess deaths the healthcare system is probably missing. After the Christmas and New year's bump it's going to be really dire. Fuck this shit sucks. In my country some rich kids in their final year of high school went to party and there were some super-spreader events. Ffs if some rich kids partying at the coast is going to start another wave of coronavirus in my country I'm going to start a protracted people's war against the suburbs (oviously a joke)

A friend's mother works for United Way, helping people make rent, etc. There are probably things in your area that can help you cover stuff until you're back on your feet. They're stretched REALLY thin now, so you'll probably go on a waiting list, but it's best to get on it as quickly as possible.

It's worth reaching out to every org in your vicinity, even if it seems like you might not qualify. If not, they can probably point you towards someone who can. There are people working hard on keeping people housed this winter. They just happen to not be our government :/
