I watched my roomie play for like 5 hours last night, it has WAY too many janky issues to be acceptable to launch in this condition, but yeah at its core it's a fun game and will be fixed in no time probably, just pissed to see "release jank unfinished game and fix it later" cementing itself as the new model
I blame the marketing side of things for that model, in a perfect world games wouldn't even be announced/hyped until it's done and most of the QA has been completed, but alas
Its never the fault of the dedicated talented people actually making the game, well, outside of the 'auteurs' who's fault it always is
Fair point! Unfortunately the people actually making the game still get largely blamed, which is unfortunate
Was it on PC or console? Most of the PC players seem to be experiencing way fewer problems.
PC, and a decent enough one. It honestly felt a bit fallout 76-y at times, but far more stable and fun, just the types of glitches themselves
People made some compelling arguments that the insufferable whining was at least somewhat justified.
are you complaining about customers complaining about paying $60+ for a buggy mess? on behalf of a corporation that exploiting it's workers to rush said game to make the holdiay sales window? what kind of bootlicking ass post is this?
those can be completely separate groups of ppl though, plenty of casual Skyrim/GTAV gamers just heard about the game this month and decided to pick it up based on marketing/hype, OP's post specifically singled out ppl on last gen consoles being upset when the game they bought doesn't work properly like it's their fault for expecting their $60 game to run on the system they own
Fair comment. If the game doesn't run properly on older consoles they should have at least put up a PSA about that or not released on those platforms at all.
it also doesn't run well on PC hardware the majority of gamers have according to Steam stats since noone has a 3070 yet
I love a chance to dunk on Reddit but people here are just as obnoxious. Joke's on all of you, the more attention this game gets the more money CDPR shareholders make.
I think it's pretty fair to complain that a game that was delayed a bunch of times, worked their staff to the bone, and charges you 60 bucks, doesn't work. I haven't played it tho, so I don't know how valid the complaints are.
The reviews are really mixed. Most people seem to say that other than a few bugs it works fine after some graphics settings adjustments. Other people say it's literally unplayable. I dunno either I bought it but spent 7 hours last night downloading it and haven't played yet.
So far I haven't had any game breaking bugs but you don't have to play for long before glitches pop out of the woodwork. Also the driving mechanic could use some serious greasing.
But overall it's still a fun game so far. It just came out waaaaaay too early.
My favorite part is the first time you're in a car the npc is driving while they talk to you, and they have animated gestures but they don't have an animation for turning the damn steering wheel
so fucking funny lmao
Another good one is how every entity and npc behaves like a weeping angel. If you're not looking at it, an npc could be spawning right behind your ass ( so an army of cops) or if you take your eyes off a car for a second whoops! It despawned D:
I watched my friend play it for like 3 hours, but it honestly felt like there was no real hook and we didn’t know what was going on.
