    not entirely untrue tbh, technological progress can and will eventually provide things beyond our current abilities. just right now we need to scale back a smidge fuckton :party-sicko: on the whole industrial oil waste and plastic baubles thing and we'd be fine

      yeah true, it's a bit more complicated than everyone living shitty lives, but it's making a big promise that probably won't be kept. (...well, it will be, cause they're very willing to let things fall apart in the name of not changing anything)
