This is one of the most horrifying parts of WW2. You really don't hear much about the Japanese crimes anymore. They were astoundingly brutal and basically got away with it in order to contain the communists. Most people remember the Soviets had the most deaths in WW2, but China had the second most deaths because the Japanese were so brutal.
