Fountainhead made me ??? as a 15 year old who had bought into the libertarian shit for a couple of years around then. like aside from the shitty writing, the blatant CNC erotica jammed in the middle was... unexpected...
My friend told me about that! I was basically braced for it, but I couldn't even get that far because I was just so turned off by the writing style. Like bitch if you rant about the Parthenon again I'm gonna lose it.
I had to read the whole thing for that asinine essay contest. what a waste of brain space. altruism is actually self-interest and this supposedly somehow validates being an asshole and... yeah, idk, I was into the ideology at the time and I still tore her apart in my essay.
