Formed in 2001, the Coalition of Communities of Color (CCC) is an alliance of culturally-specific community based organizations with representation from the following communities of color: African, African American, Asian, Latino, Middle Eastern and North African, Native American, Pacific Islander, and Slavic.

Fun times. Beating the Jews, Greeks, and Italians in there, despite having less... "color". Irish POCs when?

Romani people aren't on there, and are pretty oppressed in most Slavic countries. I'm glad that CCC care about real oppression (jokes about squatting and Adidas tracksuits) and not fake oppression (getting forced into ghettos and systematically excluded from society).

As a Slav with a massive chip on my shoulder I think we have a bit more cache when it comes to the Oppression Olympics ;-) - but for sure the Romani deserve priority recognition before Slavs. However, I think the Romani population of the US is too small, and this organization seems US-focused. Americans don't really know about the Roma... outside using the g*p slur.
