Jones Favreau should replace Kathleen Kennedy
Last night I got incredibly shitfaced and watched Empire Strikes Back and it really reminded me why I loved Star Wars, phenomenal music, exciting drama and emotion, endearing characters played by charming actors, I dunno maybe it was the booze
anyways this show is the most tepid, overrated tripe I've seen come out of the franchise since Rogue One, but it got a cute babby so $$$$$ DAE Filoni the new Spielberg? gib him a trilogy! HELLO THERE XDXD
Nah Empire is a masterpiece because it's a great movie, in context or out of context. You can show Empire to somebody who's never seen Star Wars before and it still works as its own thing, and you care about the characters because they're given emotion and development and such. Showing somebody who's never watched Star Wars The Mandalorian or like Rise of Skywalker (lol it sucks that I can never get this "movie" out of my brain) and it doesn't work because at their core they rely too much on nostalgia and references rather than standing alone. Mandalorian season 1 works by this standard and mostly stands on its own, but season 2 is weird because so many random characters you're supposed to know already show up.
rogue one at least had some appealing moments that spoke to the "doing guerrilla warfare with your bros" fantasy, the mandalorian is just fucking boring
let the record show that i said it was boring after the first couple episodes of the first season and people on the old subreddit dismissed me as contrarian. look who's right bitches
I genuinely think it would've been cooler/more unexpected if it was Mace Windu instead. (Before anyone tells me "He ded tho.", show me the fuckin' body.)
Or Dexter Jettster.
My bro saw a thumbnail for a fan theory saying Mace Windu would return and got mad cuz he thought it was a spoiler. Might just tell him that Mace Windu shows up and tell him not to bother watching
Oh you mean Remember That: The TV Show? Season 1 was pretty good because it was mostly free of references, but this season... damn.
TLJ has been the only thing I've really liked since Disney took over, and judging by how terribly the fan base reacted to it we'll never get something like it again. "We are what we grow beyond," and I think I'm growing beyond Star Wars under Disney's tutelage.
I didn't mind Force Awakens, I thought Last Jedi was good, and I've been enjoying the Mandalorian for the most part up till now. The season finale just really killed any remaining interest I have and has convinced me that they have 0 interest in doing anything meaningful with Star Wars ever again.
