Do you think they stuffed Uncle Sam before serving him? I bet they stuffed him. First they gagged him with that apple, and then they stuffed him. And he's into it. He could clearly just pick that apple out of his mouth with his hands and get up and leave if he wanted to, but instead he's just gripping the edge of the plate in anticipation.
