"I first heard of the Murray experiment from Kaczynski himself. We had begun corresponding in July 1998, a couple of months after a federal court in Sacramento sentenced him to life without possibility of parole.
Kaczynski, I quickly discovered, was an indefatigable correspondent. He hinted darkly that the Murray Center seemed to feel it had something to hide. One of his defence investigators, he said, reported that the center had told participating psychologists not to talk with his defence team.
Through research at the Murray Center and in the Harvard archives I found that, among its other purposes, Henry Murray's experiment was intended to measure how people react under stress. Murray subjected his unwitting students, including Kaczynski, to intensive interrogation - what Murray himself called "vehement, sweeping, and personally abusive" attacks, assaulting his subjects' egos and most - cherished ideals and beliefs. My quest was specific - to determine what effects, if any, the experiment may have had on Kaczynski.
Kaczynski was accepted by Harvard in the spring of 1958; he was not yet 16 years old. One friend remembers urging Kaczynski's father, Turk, not to let the boy go, arguing, "He's too young, too immature, and Harvard too impersonal." But Turk wouldn't listen. "Ted's going to Harvard was an ego trip for him," the friend recalls.
Murray, a wealthy and blue-blooded New Yorker, was both a scientist and a humanist. Before the war he had been the director of the Harvard Psychological Clinic; during it, he served in the Office of Strategic Services, the forerunner of the CIA, helping develop psychological screening tests for applicants and monitoring military experiments on brainwashing."
People still treat it like a conspiracy even with Murray himself admitting what he did. A guy trained by the OSS did the same type of experiments MKULTRA did and people still pretend it's a conspiracy. :agony-consuming: :angery:
I will never not be annoyed at people quoting something and then not saying what they are quoting though.
Also this isn't really what you made it out to be. This is some psychology professor who seemingly did one experiment once, who is proven to have been affiliated with the forerunner of CIA. I'm not getting "Kaczynski was confirmed to be MKUltra" from this. It's some evidence but not really conclusive.

From wikipedia cause lazy:
"Harvard human experiments, 1959-62
In 1947, he returned to Harvard as a chief researcher, lectured and established with others the Psychological Clinic Annex.
From late 1959 to early 1962, Murray was responsible for unethical experiments in which he used twenty-two Harvard undergraduates as research subjects.[6] Among other goals, experiments sought to measure individuals' responses to extreme stress. The unwitting undergraduates were submitted to what Murray called "vehement, sweeping and personally abusive" attacks. Specifically-tailored assaults to their egos, cherished ideas and beliefs were used to cause high levels of stress and distress. The subjects then viewed recorded footage of their reactions to this verbal abuse repeatedly.
Among them was 17-year-old Ted Kaczynski, a mathematician who went on to become the Unabomber, a domestic terrorist targeting academics and technologists for 18 years.[7] Alston Chase's book Harvard and the Unabomber: The Education of an American Terrorist connects Kaczynski's abusive experiences under Murray to his later criminal career.[7]
In 1960, Timothy Leary started research in psychedelic drugs at Harvard, which Murray is said to have supervised.[8]
Some sources have suggested that Murray's experiments were part of, or indemnified by, the US Government's research into mind control known as the MKUltra project."
confirmed MKULTRA was wrong phrasing thanks for correcting me, it's just that OSS and cia are the almost the same organization and murray researched mind control for OSS while MK Ultra was the mindcontrol program of the CIA so you can forgive me for confusing this.
