a majority of americans have been homeless at some point but what they mean by "homeless" is "they moved out of an apartment then the apartment they were moving into fell thru so they stayed in a hotel for a few days". There's even a term for it; the invisible homeless, bc every single one of your coworkers at your job or the ppl at a restaurant you go to could be going thru it & you wouldn't notice, nobody calls the cops to murder them.
