Hell yeah I watched solaris a couple weeks ago and really enjoyed it. I was going to watch stalker next but maybe I'll do an edible and watch the terminator first
His films have the best cinematography in my opinion. With the budget and equipment he had, every shot looks breath-taking.
this is the only one i've seen so far and i didn't find it hard to watch, though i went in expecting it to be sort of slowly paced and knowing that it was a nearly three hour movie. my only gripe was that the volume of the dialogue on the rip i had was way too loud compared to the rest of the sound/music.
I liked the part where the guy showed up on the space station with a mesh shirt. Also them smoking on the space station. Stalker is really good. Also looks incredible..
lmao i almost forgot about the shirt. first scene he was wearing it i was craning forward, squinting as i came to terms with the boldness of tarkovsky's space attire du jour
Fake Shit: Humanity's future is fighting a single AI on a spaceship and evolving into a space-faring species
FACTS: Humanity's future is fighting for survival in a post-apocalypse hell-scape against robots that we willingly gave control of nuclear weapons because of Cold War ideology.
Miss me with that high brow Kubrick shit and give me my Cameron slop.
Average
I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that

It's beautiful but it took a couple watch-throughs to wrap my head around it. I think Andrei Rublev is another masterpiece worth watching with somewhat more of a conceivable plot
Hey Andrei, Kubrick was often a dick to his actors, but at least he didn't kill any of them (along with himself) via lung cancer by filming in a chemical plant.
