Okay, I was thinking about this more in terms of imperialism but Russia definitely sucks internally. Although you could probably apply the same critiques to a lot of countries like Brazil and Poland and whatever.
They invaded Chechnya, persecute LGBT and indigenous people, and generally treat their working class like shit. Public services are greatly underfunded and corruption is rampant. They also provide support and platforms to the far right, many far right figures have gone on RT for example.
