They wish there was a Lemmy Admin team that can ban instances (us). All I can gather is they're mad we exist and can talk to one another and see other parts of the internet. Anti-Communism 101.

Every post we make is a psychic papercut to them, and every upvote is a metaphorical shake of the salt shaker into the cut.

The post deffinitly doesn't have anything to do with us but it is funny that they got mad and wanted to defederate from anybody left of Hillary Clinton and then get confused why their comments section is the exact same tired garbage as reddit.

All I hearing is that Hexbear users back their shit up with facts and that upsets the libs that want to pretend the world isn't burning

That first picture is just typical r*dditor talk, although you're probably right because I've long suspected there's way more bot activity on Reddit than anyone thinks.

      you know what? you're right

I've been thinking that the "memes" posted in some lemmy comms are super low quality shit scraped off Facebook. and the commenters in those threads often kinda sound like they're all one really weird nerd.

after seeing your first image, and that guy in your second image, I honestly think there's a bunch of bots at work here.

Yeah some of those memes feel like boomer's first meme page from eight years ago. I was kinda surprised and just wondering if I had been so immersed in the Hexbear humour stack that I forgot what normie memes were like.

I honestly think we shouldn't comment. Let's have 1 minutes of silence. No posts. In honour of the fallen.

    Thank you.

I only saw one mediocre thread on that post referring to us. The rest just seems like folks pissy about call and response bits. Which, fair, but also, :this:

      This

Never seen someone word it this way before, but this might be the most accurate statement I've heard in my life.

So that’s a lot of nothing to basically say “lets stop acting like reddit”

But when they see what a poster can do, the balk. Too scared to say on the internet what they think.

    Fucking weirdoes

Yea "let's stop acting like reddit" after they banned everybody who doesn't post like a redditor

I think lemmy only has two types of posts, these with less than 10 comments and ones hexbear folks posted in.

This is a good site line, too.

The comments have some. It's weird coming from lemmyworld people given that they're not federated with us though lmao.

in the comments. the post itself is good enough, comment quality is undervalued on corpo social media, but i think we're significantly above the average here on chapo dot chat.

do you know where you are? there's zero tolerance for liberals or fascists here.

I had the idea that we were talking about liberal with the quotations around left. I suppose this could be misguided tolerating intolerance. I just hoped for better. The position that liberals are bewildered when they're attacked from the left is a common point when talking about federation. If it's about communists it's probably systemic violence apologia

I forget where I heard this first, but I like the concept of tolerance as a peace treaty, not as a virtue. Someone else breaks the treaty, and it's open season.
