Also sinoposting, as this is Sinosauropteryx prima, a small theropod discovered in the Yinxian formation in 1996. Like many of the fossils from that deposit, Sinosauropterix's remains are so well-preserved that paleontologists could identify what it ate last (insects and small mammals) and even determine the colors of some of the feathers and tell that it had a ringed tail, countershading on the body and a mask-like dark pattern on its face. Relative to the overall length of the body, Sinosauropteryx had the longest tail of all theropods, which may have helped it make sudden turns while running.

So yes, it's basically dinosaur furret.
