The dude in the post says that women hate how he can be happy with so little, but then goes on to say that he doesn't deserve a bedframe in a self hating manner? So which is it lol, are they happy or self loathing? Also the mattress on the floor like that looks super uncomfortable, as someone with back problems I'd rather sleep on the actual floor than do that, it's probably more comfortable

Nothing wrong with a mattress on the floor, really no different than it being on a box spring or platform bed. I did it for like four months when I was going through my divorce and my back was none the worse for wear.

Can confirm. I sleep on a mattress on the floor, my back is fine but my mold is not

See my other response to traingang in this comment thread for my weird reasoning:

Yeah mattress on the floor would be fine for 99% of people. Just for me with a degenerative back disease it won’t be fine and I’d rather just sleep on a hard floor at that point. Don’t ask me how that works, if I knew I wouldn’t be in also much pain all the time lol

I think it depends on the mattress

I did it once and after a week I had a nasty knot in my back that didn’t go away till I moved out and stayed with my mom who had a proper bed frame.
