he died on october 31st but his family didn't announce it till today. sucks that we have to end 2020 on such a fucking sour note
It really is fucking tragic. He played the hip hop industry perfectly as a villain by releasing several legendary albums in a row, and then when he felt comfortable enough he disappeared to live his life. I was happy knowing DOOM could just chill in his lair and produce a track or write a verse or two every couple years and live a fulfilling life, but then the news of his son came out and now this . . . Why do the super villains always gotta have tragic stories.
According to his wife, he died on Oct. 31, 2020. A cause of death was not revealed.
That's very doom-like to keep it out of the press for over two months softens the blow of hearing this a bit
I was taken a back at first, but now that I think about it I wish this happened more often. I'm glad the family got the time to deal with this privately before it became a hulapalooza.
Fuuuuck. We were bangin his Christmas album all last week too. RIP to one of the true GOATs of the rap game.
I imagine the Charli/Doom fan base is bigger than people realize.
Doomsday, MMM Food, Madvillain, Viktoe Vaughan, and King Ghidora all getting bumped today till the end of time
Holy shit what the fuck? I thought he was just doing an Adult Swim Christmas thing. This fucking sucks so hard.
FFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKK :agony-4horsemen:
Rip to the GOAT.
What's everyones favourite DOOM album? Apart from Madvillainy ofc
Mm Food was the first DOOM album i listened to so it will always have a special place in my heart, and i really like Take Me to Your Leader, but i think Operation: Doomsday is my favorite.
The production on Operation Doomsday and Take Me To Your Leader is smooth as hell for sure
MM Food probably. I think I've listened to the Special Herbs collection more than anything though.
I love that dude. Honestly have so many special memories from music from working at shitty jobs. It's like this big pang of nostalgia melancholy when listening to them
