yeah the amount of people i've heard casually saying "i don't mind waiting [an arbitrary amount of time] to get the vaccine" and it's honestly shocking in a way. i feel like antivaxx people have subconsciously or consciously altered people's opinions about vaccination or some shit. or i simply just didn't realize how many people are sketched out by vaccines. i've had at least 12 different ones (international traveling and the usual ones) and never had an issue and have no reason to doubt it would be an issue now. Most people who went to public school (at least in CA??) have had a lot of vaccines.

Covid-19 is fucking serious shit, and there is a serious underreporting of people with long lasting side effects after recovering from covid. even healthy people who have a very high survival rate doesn't necessarily translate to not having any long lasting, possibly permanent damage to their respiratory system or their brains or other minor effects. It's frustrating to hear to say the least, especially for otherwise rational and normal people.
