The US right had enough conventional power and savvy leaders for them not to need or want to resort to proper capital T terrorism.
By that I mean like actual bombings and shootings and hostage taking. Thing about that crap is it sorta demands response from the state so it can maintain its illusion of a monopoly on violence. The only time it’s useful to use it is when you want to break that monopoly. If you already have a foothold in the state apparatus it’s better to just engage is lightly coordinated, dispersed acts of petty violence and harassment against your political enemies. Small enough actions that they don’t demand much attention or response on their own but compounded have a big effect.
The Nazis before fully having control of the German government didn't engage in big dramatic acts of terrorism. They just formed gangs to go around doing small violence to people till they had the clout to get the military and police to do it on a larger scale. As dumb as they seem in public I think CHUDs are a bit smarter than we give them credit for. They get that if they did their own Reichstag fire it’d force their future allies in the FBI to come down in them.
