    Beneš was cool tho, expelling the Germans was the only way forward as the only other option was to have all their heads on spikes. No one wants to speak the truth that that was the only outcome, peaceful living with the other ethnicities was not possible. Prevented future conflicts in these lands and even the Soviets knew that the countries needed to be made into ethnostates.

    But that is history and everyone here has opinions on it.

      i dont disagree lmao i think he was an idiot for other reasons and that the coup was more than justified. i dont see it as making an ethnostate i see it as moving the 80% germans who were nazi supporters away from an ethnic population they terrorized for a decade almost. ive got germans in my family and they werent fash and stuck around after all that.

        Czech lands to the Czech people as Gottwald said. I have my own issues with that era, but that's neither here or there. All the best, I am off to the swamps. The communist days were simpler times in regards to societal views.
