    Most? According to that graphic all carbon offset projects are a scam. It's just that for 8 of them where they couldn't confirm that they were a scam and for 3 of them they didn't have enough information to say if they were scams - which is to say they're probably even more of a scam than the others.

      That graph is only the ones they looked at, which they say is about a third.

      So there’s about 100 more scams that they didn’t even look in to.

    The market has no incentive to solve the climate crisis. The market doesn't even need to convince anyone that it can solve the climate crisis. All the market needs to do is convince potential investors that it can convince a certain number of people that it can solve the climate crisis. And that's a lot easier than actually solving the climate crisis.

    Apparently there are projects which cut trees and bury to "offset" carbon. It's an insane industry. Anyone who believes that capitalism, startups and "novel" business ideas can help solve climate change needs a brain transplant.
