Whoa there, sir! Hold your horses - that $37 is only for Pell Grant recipients with small businesses

The PAYGO rules in the House that prevent good legislation also prevent tax cuts for the wealthy that just raise the deficit like the 2017 ones

With 50 votes they can pass things like once a year through budget reconciliation. I have no idea what they'll do

Most likely answer is a fairly large COVID relief act, perhaps on the scale of CARES. It’ll be full of slush fund money for the ownership class but us rubes will get a bigger slice of the pie than Mitch was gonna let through.

After that jury is out. Could see another Rube Goldberg healthcare plan like the ACA (they’ll kill the public option again, just like under Obama imo). Could also see an infrastructure bill that’s loaded with no-bid public-private partnerships for the donor corporations. They’ll greenwash it with something like idk- mandating a bunch of zero carbon buildings or electrified private rail or whatever. No carbon tax or cap and trade, Manchin would dump that on sight.

DC and Puerto Rico statehood will probably be on the table but consider me skeptical they happen. Oh - and Stephen Breyer will step down from SCOTUS and be replaced by a black woman with the exact same judicial philosophy.

You joke, but it truly staggers me (maybe it shouldn't by now) that Biden said he didn't even want to repeal all of Trump's awful tax cuts. You know, the ones that were unpopular even among Republicans? And that's just his opening position. Basically, the capitalist class got Trump to slash their meager taxes further and the Democrats aren't even going to undo it, even though they now totally have the power too.

All you need to know about where the democratic party really stands is to note that to them, even small tax increases for the wealthy are somehow off the table. But austerity for the people, yeah, I think I'll have two chickens...

Biggest military budget in history, tax cuts for the wealthy, and paying the poors $2000 to fuck off.
