Videos, articles, books, what do we send them? My Rachel Maddow worshipping mom is talking about firing squads for the traitors. There’s never been a better time to win some allies. I’m high risk for Covid and there’s no local protests planned near me anyways, so posting on my Facebook is pretty much all I can do.

Citations needed is pretty solid if they consider themselves "progressive" probably

I thought Citations Needed was a perfect next step for my NPR-listening friend, but he said it was too depressing :agony-deep:

      e: it's still a good recommendation though

Honestly this is the biggest barrier. Libs are very uncomfortable with the truth. It’s really tough to breakthrough. We all get to choose between living in the dark and being afraid of the scary sounds or turning on the light and seeing the monster for what it is. Some people would rather be afraid of the dark.

David Graeber’s my go-to. Beau of the Fifth Column does a lot of work to make his stuff accessible to libs. One-on-one conversations are really what it takes, though. Memes on Facebook are bait to get those started or to continue them

cops, cops, cops. there's so much material, and it's so in your face. once you realize that the police aren't there to protect and are actually fascist, racist thugs, it's like the floodgates open.

That was absolutely the start of my journey to leftism.
