I know that Russiagate is the liberal QAnon, but I was talking with my kids last night and they told me that liberals will be falling prey to their own NEW QAnon soon.

QAnon comes from religious chuds trying to make sense of how Trump is an incompetent dumbass. But Biden, too, is an incompetent dumbass, at least when it comes to actually helping people.

So will we see a liberal messiah cult centered on Biden soon? Or perhaps Kamala? Are we already there?

They will do the same thing they did during Obama:

"He has to compromise with the evil GOP, its politics sweety, its the art of the possible"

"He's proposing massive cuts to Social Security to maneuver around McConnell, its 12th-D chess and he's thinking 200 steps ahead"

"Don't worry, he has to govern from the right in his first term, then he can really push left-wing policy once he has secured re-election"

"You want to force a Supreme Court nomination through the Senate?! But that's against the NORMS. You don't want the GOP to use that as an excuse to break more norms would you?"

"He wasn't able to get much done in his two terms becuase of McConnell but he built the infrastructure for Hillary to be the most progressive president in history"

"You fucking Bernie Bros didn't vote hard enough and now we have Trump, are you fucking happy?"

Yeah it's not gonna be nearly as maniacal or mythological as Q. It's just going to be "Welcome to the real world sweaty"

For their leader to fail them, they would have to actually believe in something.

The liberal thought leaders and media personalities will all personally have good living conditions and no reason to complain.

I don't there will be a liberal version of Qanon because they have a different conception from the chuds of what a politician should be. Conservatives want a patriotic, god-fearing individual who stands alone against evil and wins. Clearly it requires a lot of mythology to explain how Trump is that individual. But what liberals want is a hypercompetent bureaucrat who succeeds by exactly following all the rules. Making e.g. Fauci fit this mould requires a lot less explaining: if a Dem does something bad, the lib says 'actually it's good' or at least 'that was the best they could do while following the rules'

Liberals don't need it because they are already too broken and useless to want the government to actually do anything.

They will accept whatever happens because the Dems are doing it so it must be good. No need for a Qanon style rationalization.

wait you have kids? not very volcel of you.

but seriously I don't think we're gonna see anything of the same type of cult of personality develop around any of the Dems, for the first thing none of the dems actually have a personality to base the cult around.... but also they just don't have the infrastructure inside the party that would allow anything really similar to Q to work. Like, the republicans spend 8 years doing tea party organizing shit to get conspiracy dumbasses into positions of power within the party, and those people helped pave the way to the media landscape that Q thrived in. On the Dem side, they're all still 100% onboard with CNN and MSNBC and shit and they would never actually go seek out chan board bullshit that makes them feel smart; they've already got the narrative they want coming out of the major networks. plus, a lot of the bullshit narrative they buy into is republicans being good people who they can work with and anything more radical about that is also "just divisiveness" and shit. So I think a lib Q anon just doesn't work practically, at least from the standpoint of an internet LARPer building a radicalizing force for them.

You're going to meet the cult of "America isn't ready" for ... anything that has real impact
