Sure but expanding the powers of the organizations created to crush leftists seems like it might be bad down the line. Maybe we're seeing a tide shift here, but I think the more likely scenario is Trump gets a slap on the wrist, Dems and lib media says 'Everything is now in perfect harmony' and austerity 2.0 starts.
Don't advocate for the expansion of those powers then, just advocate that whatever resources they're allocated should go towards the right-wing as much as possible. We literally lose nothing from different fascist factions eating each other.
I really don't think it's that simple. For example, the FBI and violent pro-Trump groups overlap but have very different organizational goals. One are a fascist group who are historically largely fine with any republican or modern (openly neolib) dem, the other are obviously not (at the moment) fine with anybody but Trump. So, I think it's entirely possible that, at the moment, these two groups can harm each other (the FBI have much more power obviously).
The idea that right-wing infighting just cannot exist, and shouldn't be used where possible, is so damaging to leftist movements in my opinion. We acknowledge that infighting tends to fuck us, but shame comrades for engaging with fascists even when they're blatantly just trying to spur infighting between fascist groups.

Cops like the FBI are very centrist as far as ideology. You don't tell them they are right wingers, you just call them criminals.
It's even better to completely obscure any sort of political motive when reporting so the feds won't know what your target is.
