This place was never going to have it, the "dirtbag left" attitude had appeal to the Reddit crowd, but the remaining people here really need to reconsider if that's the people that we want to be attracting. There's not really a path back to recreating the old sub. The question is what we as users want the community to evolve into next, and I'm kind of disappointed in the answer (from the community at large).
Im just saying plenty of boring subreddits already do that, not once have i been able to jerk off to John Brown ever since the pronoun wars began. Within a month i fully expect the mods to ban all bernie bros not because they're succdems, but because they focus too much on class issues.

I don't mean that it will evolve into anything other than a website, I think that's a pointless venture same as you do.
I meant what sort of online shitposting community we want to be, there are decisions to be made there.
