For context: corrupt piece of shit mayor decides he wants to organise sledging for people, and since there's no snow we get this monstrosity where part of a small hill gets covered in artificial snow. Obviously this is a great idea given the pandemic.

This was also taken yesterday, and today we've had a ton of snow, making this dumb, wasteful, and dangerous gesture, entirely pointless.

      City marketing does stuff like that all the time, and it's usually to drive revenue for the small business tyrants owning businesses in whatever place the artificial beach / oktoberfest / water slide / enormously large pumpkin exhibition / skiing track is dumped on.

      He's up for re election in May this year, and polling at 15%, the guy has a history of doing little things like this so he can point to it during campaigning and say 'look at the nice things I give you!' instead of doing anything to meaningfully improve people's lives.
