Yep, its sporadic, but there are definitely more shortages occuring. Not total outages, but store being forced to have empty shelves from a lack of buffer & produce that would have been tossed as "too ugly/ripe/unripe/notplasticlooking" being stocked.
Oddly(or not i suppose) in my neck of Burgerland the major supermarket chains seem to be having the most visible problems. Smaller Farmer's market chains are doing fine.

Not sure. I heard about some teamster/dockworker strikes a few months ago, but I haven't heard any updates.
