I can’t wait until I supercomputers come up with communism as the most efficient and equitable economic system and then people just ignore it

They would just move the goal posts and decide that "incentives for aspirational entrepreneurship" or some bullshit is a prerequisite for an efficient economy.

And then they keep changing the restraints, but it keeps coming up with communism, no matter how hard they try, then they just scrap it saying that it was just a thought experiment. A very expensive thought experiment.

Wow it keeps coming up saying to raise taxes on the rich so there must be a bug in the programming.

I don't know, I would have agreed with you in the past but Philosophy Tube's lecture on AI in warfare had a bit about how AI can have a lot of biases and unplanned biases that don't make them any more objective than their creator.

The point isn't for it to be objective, the point is for it to find solutions the human brain can't. I don't think anybody is in favor of just blindly uncritically following what the AI spits out.

That was one of PhilTube's weaker videos IMO, it really shows he doesn't have a STEM background, he makes a lot of weird assumptions about how technology works.

Actually on second thought I was talking about another video he made on AI, an older one. The later "Data" one is pretty good.

Regardless my point still stands, AI is not here to be an objective arbiter of anything, just do what it's told, meaning you'll still want somebody manually deciding the high level stuff about the economy.

It’ll just find a faster way through the “get rich on growing market -> over focus investment -> crash as demand corrects from exhaustion/overexposure/disinterest/interest in new market”

Bro. Let's just develop an AI to do tax evasion to develop better taxes. There's no possible complications with an AI designed to do tax evasion controlled by a huge business services company. Bro it's gonna be siiiick.

If you designed an AI to make Capitalism as lean as possible this is exactly what would happen. It is going to take the most rewarding path of least resistance; which will 100% of the time not be what the original programmer intended, will cut as many corners as possible, and blur the "rules" as much as tolerance will allow.
