Headline: Trump’s bluster failed Venezuela. Biden must use diplomatic and economic levers to address the crisis.

Last month I told my mom Biden would probably be just as aggressive towards Venezuela as Trump and I just saw this wonderful headline: Biden will recognize Guaido as Venezuela's leader, top diplomat says.

Learning the dark art of Marxist–Leninist–Maoist prophesying is more a curse than a blessing :deeper-sadness:

Trump left a lot of low hanging fruit.

But it's the honeymoon phase, and we're already seeing the Ben Shapiros and Uk TERFs freak out.

I'm confident that we'll be reading "Has Antifa Biden Gone Too Far!!??!!" headlines before the week is out.

But the people of Venezuela yearn for democracy and to get rid of that evil dictator Maduro

Americans suck. This momo here never even questions the idea that hey, why is it any of our business who's in charge of the Venezuelan government - especially one that's democratically elected?

It's worse, libs don't even think Maduro was democratically elected. Add in their deluded view of being the World Police and you have a recipe for catastrophe.

just ask them why does it matter if Maduro was elected or not? Why does america need to be involved?

        because of human rights!

well, there are a lot of other countries with much worse humans right records that don't even hold elections. why don't you sanction saudi arabia?

i haven't tried this yet - it may work.

          because of human rights!

Often the best recourse here is to pull the same thing with Civil-War-slavery deniers; human rights to what? To own and exploit other people and their resources?

They did something outside of our (horseshit) democratic norms! Does it really matter if it was technically legal according to their own laws and institutions?!?!

The only thing I'm unsure of is how he will handle China. Not that he has much say since the military-industrial complex and intelligence agencies are bloodthirsty for war with China lol

He's got at least as much say as Trump. And Trump managed to avoid a war.
