    Also unable to fathom history through anything besides political action and electoralism apparently. Like there were plenty of historical moments for black women, they were just a part of social movements, rather than a weird ceremony. It's the weird mindset that history isn't a process of social forces, but rather a collection of pub trivia facts about "important" people and events. It made me think of how there's a one liner for the cause of WWI being defence treaties and the assassination of Franz Ferdinand, when the causes were more complicated and span several decades.
