Bernie was the only real thing at that inauguration, and people were grasping at some kind of real human moment after watching that hideous marionette show, made even worse by all the fawning news anchors just clearly lying through their teeth at how emotional it was.

Trying to "beat" the Bernie meme with further mythologization of the good ruling class is such a transparent attempt to get the zeitgeist back on track, it's fucking nauseating.
