Most of them are unironic tankies and communists Marxists.

Sorry folks, they got us. We're not real commies, we're just theory-reading, paper-selling, terminally online mArxIsts.

For real though, can anyone here fluent in lib lingo explain to me why they think they're so smug crossing out "communists" for "Marxists"?

"communism" is good in theory cuz it's harmless, it's only when put into action and has to be defended that it becomes authoritarian MarxismStalinLeninMaoGenocidism 600 Brazillion dead

I read it the opposite way, that they think people label themselves as Marxists because the communist label is too bad to be open about, whereas Marxism gives an intellectual flair

I don't think the OP is using "Marxist" as a softer label if they're pairing it with "tankie" though. It seems to me that they're trying to make some kind of implication that the tankies and the marxists aren't real communists, they're just authoritarians with a communist aesthetic?

idk, I'm not fluent enough in brainworms to decode this

Radlibs are trying to make communism the next social democracy, by defanging it. Thats why we are the “real racist putler conservatives”and they are the pro-minority inclusive cia liberals. Basically trying to recruit for the Dems.

Even the libertarians and rightoids are doing the “no true communist” thing I guess where they pretend to know what communism is better than the communists

Communism: A noble, if idealistic (GROAN) cause.

Marxism: Obsolete dogmatic screeds bound 100 years ago in crumbling, cigarette stained paperback.
