I mean...increasing Gamestop stocks is going to have some adverse effects on their employees. They're gonna get squeezed that much harder when the stock inevitably crashes. I was under the assumption that the prevailing mood of the people cheering this on is that of a Jokerfied crowd dancing while watching the world burn.
It's probably not crashing far below its baseline before this or if it does it will regress to the mean. All this attention to the company is probably a slight good thing for it anyway. I wouldn't worry too much about the individual Gamestop employees here beyond the fact that the company has been failing.

As a company it was already extremely doomed though, which is what makes this extra funny.
