If you say "They should only shoot troops and try and either leave unarmed civilians alone or take them hostage and not kill them," that is what they are broadly attempting to do right now. Because Israel has a mandatory draft, the difference between civilian and soldier becomes blurred. Does this civilian have combat training? Do they have a weapon hidden? If you say "They should assault the government, not the people," - how? How do they do that without their convoy en route to the government buildings being bombed into smithereens?
