      It's not entirely unfair, as Iran and Egypt have cohorts who have been happy to support Palestinians for decades.

      But I wouldn't be surprised if they try to rope China into this before they're done.

    The only part of this that comes close to reality is that the historic friendship of the Palestinian and Soviet peoples helped keep the fight alive and importantly took the Sinai back for Egypt. But yeah Russia (and hell even the Soviets) are not prone to significant armed support for Palestine
