What do you mean, a rich singer who got in a relationship with a billionaire sociopath is only doing it for aesthetics? Shocker
I still don't mind it, unlike the most people here i don't think it's bad when corporations, politicians etc. embrace subjects like lgbt/minority rights just for the money because it renders those stuff more mainstream no matter what.
The problem with this line of thinking is that corporations only adapt “progressive” rhetoric whenever it already is well integrated into the mainstream.
I think the general among users is that those things becoming mainstream is not the problem, the problem has been the incorporation of those things into capital.
Nah it sucks lmfao nothing will make you feel like less of a person than having a personal part of your identity be sold back to you by some dude trying to make a buck. Then the worst part is being mainstream and still not being accepted, so you get the baggage of some people in your community reaping the financial rewards of your collective struggles, but society at large still treating you like shit but at the same time telling you to shut up because X celebrity made another $100k so it can't be that bad.
Just keep working harder, that was your problem all along.

I mean, yeah they constantly do that, it still helps though

I know, and i'm saying that incorporation part is weighs less in the pro/con scale compared to them becoming mainstream
