I haven't been able to safely smoke any dank for a couple weeks due to covid so I've started dreaming nightly again. It's made me remember how much I dislike dreaming.
Most of my dreams are filled with disturbing or troubling imagery, I tend to wake up several times in the night from these dreams, and when I finally wake up in the morning I'm always confused and disoriented for a minute because the dreams feel so real.
You're probably having a bit of a REM rebound. Since cannabis suppresses your dreams, you'll have way more intense ones (and more than usual) when you're in withdrawal, which can last for a while.
I also really hate dreaming, and generally use medical marijuana to tone it down. I have CPTSD and nightmares can literally ruin my day/week by putting me into a triggered headspace upon waking. It's kind of like rolling the dice every night on whether I'll have a massive problem in the morning or not. When I was a kid I used online resources to teach myself to lucid dream to try and stop some of the worst ones - it still works sometimes.
